This policy explains what personal data we process in connection with the algamo.cz website, why we do so, and what rights you have. We follow Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Czech Act No. 110/2019 Coll. on personal data processing.
What data we process
Contact form data
If you write to us through the form on our website, we process your name, company name, e-mail address and the content of your message. We need this data to reply and handle your enquiry.
- Purpose: handling your enquiry and any follow-up business communication
- Legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), or our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR)
- Retention: for the duration of handling your enquiry and then for a maximum of 3 years if no contractual relationship arises; if business is concluded, statutory tax and accounting retention periods apply
Technical cookies
The website stores a single cookie — pll_language — which remembers whether you are viewing the Czech or English version. Without it, the language would reset on every page load. It expires after 12 months.
The website uses no analytics, marketing or advertising tools. There is no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel and no other tracking script, and we do not track your behaviour across websites.
Web server logs
The server hosting this website automatically records operational logs: IP address, date and time of access, the page requested and the browser identification. These serve solely to keep the site secure and running — to detect attacks and troubleshoot technical problems.
- Legal basis: legitimate interest in securing the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR)
- Retention: 14 days, after which logs are deleted automatically
Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data and do not pass it to third parties for their own purposes. We use the following processors:
- Our web hosting provider — provides the technical operation of the website and server
- Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd. — the Microsoft 365 service through which we send and receive company e-mail, including messages from the contact form
Data is processed within the European Union, or with providers who rely on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission for any transfer to third countries.
Your rights
In relation to your personal data you have the right:
- of access — to know what data we hold about you and obtain a copy
- to rectification — to have inaccurate data corrected or incomplete data completed
- to erasure — to have your data deleted once the reason for processing no longer applies
- to restriction of processing — to ask us to temporarily stop using your data
- to data portability — to receive your data in a machine-readable format
- to object to processing based on legitimate interest
- to lodge a complaint with the Czech Data Protection Authority (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů), Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Prague 7, www.uoou.cz

Security
The website runs exclusively over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Access to form submissions is limited to staff who need it to handle your enquiry. The server is protected against unauthorised access and its security is reviewed regularly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if the way we process data changes. The current version is always available on this page.
